Caribbean Stud Poker

Bonus for a progressive jackpot

Overview

In Caribbean Stud Poker, five cards are dealt each to the dealer and the player, and the one with the higher ranking hand wins.

Before cards are drawn, players should make an ante bet to participate in the game. The player then evaluates his or her hand and must decide whether to fold and surrender the ante bet or to make a double bet to continue. The player must compare the five-card value with that of the dealer, and then the winner will be determined.

Game Information

Card Value

The rank of the card has nothing to do with the Suit. It only depends on the value of each card.

An ace is counted as either a high number or a low number. Each picture card is counted as the numeric value shown on the card.
An ace is counted as a high or a low number while the face cards are counted as their face value.

Kinds and Ranking of Hands

Kinds and Ranking of Hands
Examples of hands Names (ranking) Description
Royal Flush Cards of the identical suit consisting of an ace, a king, a queen, a jack, and a ten.
Straight Flush Among the hands with five cards of the identical suit in consecutive rank,
the one with the card of the highest number is the highest hand.
Four of a Kind When four cards of the same rank are dealt
Full House Three cards of the same rank and two cards of the same rank
Flush Five cards of the identical suit
Straight Five cards in consecutive rank (an ace is counted as either a high number or a low number)
Three of a Kind When three cards of the same rank are dealt
Two Pairs When two cards of the same rank are dealt in two pairs
One Pairs When two cards of the same rank are dealt

A Straight with an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 beats a Straight with a 5, 4, 3, 2, and Ace. If the dealer and the player have the same hand, the value of the remaining cards determines the winner. If it is equal again, the value of the next pair is compared to determine the winner. If two hands are ranked the same value and the remaining card is equal, the hand is regarded as a Push.

Nothing

If the dealer's hand does not contain an ace, a king, or a higher card, the dealer calls "Nothing".
The player automatically wins and gets paid even money on the ante.

A-K hand

When the dealer has an ace, a king, or a higher card, players open their hands one by one starting with the player seated to the right of the dealer to compare them with that of the dealer.

Game Procedure

  1. While shuffling the card, the dealer leads betting.

There are Ante Betting where you can see the 5 cards in the beginning of the game, Double Betting by which you bet twice the amount of Ante Betting if you choose to continue the game, and Progressive Betting which you can take as an option after the Ante Betting.

  2. The players bet on the Ante Betting Area and the betting amount should be in the limit.
No bettings are admitted after the “no more bets” call.

  3. After each player bets, the dealer subsequently deals 5 cards to each player and himself/herself.

The dealer shows one of the five cards.

  4. Each player then evaluates his/her hand and must decide whether to 'Fold' or 'Bet'. If the player folds, he or she will push the cards to the dealer’s direction and the player loses his initial ante. If the player continues to bet, he/she must place an additional amount equal to double the ante bet in the Double Bet Area.

If you want additional betting, put the cards in the Double Bet Area and put the additional betting amount above the card. It is prohibited to share information about the card among players during the game.

  5. After the player folds and loses his/her initial ante, the dealer takes the chips and cards of the player and shows his/her cards.

    1. 05-1

    2. 05-2

When the dealer's hand value goes beyond the value of the Ace and King combination, the players' hand value is compared with the hand value of the dealer. If the dealer's hand is better, the dealer takes the ante bet and and the play bet.
